Rings Up, 3" St. George
At first look, you'd think this was a left handed St. George.
Though the agate line ring is close to the left hand wind position you realize that it's about 60 degrees off.
Instead of the normal fly reel fishing position of the reel below the rod, this model was design to be used with the reel above the rod, or with the guides or rings up.
To be fished above the rod, the drag is set opposite, therefore left hand wind.
Though Hardy has been extensively referenced, there doesn't seem to be much documentation on the "rings up", and they appear to be quite rare.
